Florida Foster Care Review partnered with Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) in support of Bunchy’s Annual Toy Drive
Helping ensure that every child, youth and young adult in foster care receives a special gift this holiday season, Florida Foster Care Review partnered with Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) and OurKids to once again support Bunchy’s Annual Holiday Toy Drive. Thanks to generous donations, together FFCR and PAMM were able to collect hundreds of toys for the cause and bring smiles to kids in foster care.
A fierce advocate for abused and neglected children, Bunchy Gertner, has been bringing holiday cheer to Miami’s foster children for 20 years. Based out of her “North Pole” workshop, the annual drive has brought joy to more than 74,878 foster youth since 1997.
Bunchy also creates a “Good Housekeeping” gift filled with household essentials such as dishware, kitchen utensils, toiletries and more for youth aging out of the foster system and transitioning to independent living.
“Although she rarely meets the children who benefit from her toy drive, Bunchy gives children in foster care the most important gift of all: respect, dignity and unconditional love. On behalf of all of us at Florida Foster Care Review – thank you Bunchy! We look forward to many more years of you bringing the North Pole to South Florida’s foster children.”
